Refund Policy

Understanding our refund process for tournament registrations and subscriptions.

At PlayMatches, we strive to provide a seamless experience for all players and organizers. We understand that circumstances may arise where a refund is necessary. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are applicable and the process to request one.

Overview

PlayMatches acts as an intermediary platform connecting Players with Tournament Organizers. When you register for a tournament through our platform, you enter into an agreement with the respective Organizer. Our refund policy is designed to protect the interests of all parties involved while ensuring fair treatment in cases of cancellations or disputes.

This policy applies to all tournament registration fees and subscription payments made through the PlayMatches platform. Please read this policy carefully before making any payments on our platform.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be applicable under the following circumstances:

  • 1.Tournament Cancellation: When a tournament is officially cancelled by the Organizer on the Website.
  • 2.Duplicate Payment: When a payment has been processed multiple times due to technical errors.
  • 3.Incorrect Amount: When you have been charged an incorrect amount due to system errors.
  • 4.Service Not Delivered: When the tournament was not conducted as advertised and the Organizer acknowledges the same.

Tournament Cancellation by Organizer

A refund will be applicable when a Tournament is cancelled by the Organizer on the Website. To qualify for a refund:

Notification Requirement

An intimation of the tournament cancellation should be provided to ZPORTI within two (2) business days of the Tournament's scheduled start date by the Organizer or a Player enrolled in that Tournament.

Upon receiving valid notification, we shall verify the cancellation and initiate the refund process to the relevant Player. The refund will be credited back using the same payment mode that was used for the original transaction.

Important Notice

In the event the Player or the Organizer fails to notify ZPORTI of a cancelled Tournament within two business days of the scheduled start date, ZPORTI shall have no obligation to refund any amounts received by it. In such cases, the Player may seek a refund from the Organizer directly.

Refund Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  • 1Send an email to support@playmatches.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Order ID]".
  • 2Include the following details in your email:
    • - Your registered email address
    • - Tournament name and date
    • - Order ID / Transaction ID
    • - Reason for refund request
    • - Any supporting documentation (screenshots, cancellation notice, etc.)
  • 3Our support team will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days.
  • 4If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method.

Refund Timeline

Once a refund is approved, the processing time depends on your original payment method:

Please note that the actual credit to your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider's processing times.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:

  • 1.Change of Mind: If you simply change your mind about participating in a tournament after registration.
  • 2.No-Show: If you fail to attend a tournament without prior cancellation.
  • 3.Late Notification: If the cancellation notification is received more than 2 business days after the tournament's scheduled start date.
  • 4.Partial Participation: If you participated in part of the tournament but chose not to complete it.
  • 5.Terms Violation: If your registration was cancelled due to violation of our Terms of Use or tournament rules.
  • 6.Organizer-Specific Policies: If the tournament organizer has a no-refund policy that was clearly communicated at the time of registration.

Subscription Refunds

For subscription-based services:

  • In the event of termination of a subscription, you will be refunded the subscription fee for the unused portion of the subscription period.
  • If you wish to cancel your subscription and request a refund, please inform us at least seven (7) days prior to the next renewal date.
  • Refunds for subscriptions will be calculated on a pro-rata basis from the date of cancellation request.

ZPORTI reserves the right to change the subscription fee and refund policies. Any changes will be communicated to existing subscribers before implementation.

Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a refund decision:

  • You may escalate the matter by writing to us at support@playmatches.com with "Refund Dispute" in the subject line.
  • Our team will review your case and provide a resolution within 7-10 business days.
  • All disputes involving refunds will be resolved through the Dispute Resolution mechanism set forth in our Terms of Use.

Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka.
